The West University of Timişoara offers Wi-Fi connection services to students in most of the institution's spaces.
If you have an e-uvt account, you can connect to the EDUROAM network using the instructions below, depending on the operating system, on:
WINDOWS 10
• Select the EDUROAM network
• Enter your credentials
• Accept the encrypted connection (only on first login)
WINDOWS 8 and 8.1
• Select the EDUROAM network
• Enter your credentials
• Accept the encrypted connection (only on first login)
WINDOWS 7
There are a few steps that must be completed on a laptop only once, after which you will be able to connect to EDUROAM only with the e-uvt username and password.
* The only requirement is that when making these settings, the laptop must be connected to the internet - via cable, in order to download the certificate.
The procedure can be downloaded from the website www.uvt.ro at:
• "online resources" -> "technical procedures" -> "Eduroam - network connection",
• rad-eduroam-1-cs_info_uvt_ro.pem
For security reasons of the UVTnet network, soon those who still have this operating system installed, will NOT be able to connect to Eduroam. Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft since January 14, 2020
WINDOWS XP
Due to the security of the UVTnet network, those who still have this operating system installed will NOT be able to connect to Eduroam. Windows XP has not been supported by Microsoft since April 8, 2014
ANDROID

• Select Authentication: PEAP
• Select Phase 2 authentication: None
• Enter the email address at Username and Identity
• Enter the password in the field provided
• Ignore the certificate after pressing the Connect button.
APPLE iOS
• Select the EDUROAM network
• Enter your credentials
• Accept the encrypted connection (only on first login)
